the man who invented pop-up ads, has apologised to the world
Zuckerman explains that he had unintentionally created one of the most hated forms of advertising on the web

Ethan Zuckerman is an American media scholar, blogger, and Internet activist. He is the director of the MIT Center for Civic Media, Associate Professor of the Practice in Media Arts and Sciences at MIT.
Pop-up ads were originated in
webpage hosting site in the late 1990s.
The man claims he wrote the code to launch advertisements in separate windows as a response to complaints of displaced banner ads. Zuckerman later apologized for the unforeseen nuisance pop-up ads had evolved into.
The time when you’re in a hurry and some pop up ad appears…and instead of clicking the cross button on right you ended up clicking the ad
And all hell broke loose!!
